Baptism incorporates us into the body of Christ and removes original sin and any personal sin. Infants are baptized on the first and third Sundays at 1:00pm. Baptism can also be celebrated at Mass or at other times by special arrangement. Parents are asked to attend a special class offered quarterly on a Sunday at 1:00pm. Adults who seek baptism normally participate in the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults.

Who can receive Baptism

    Every person not yet baptized and only such a person is able to be baptized.

Who can Baptize

    The ordinary ministers of Baptism are the bishop and priest and, in the Latin Church. also the deacon. In case of necessity, any person, even someone not baptized, can baptize, if he has the required intention.
