Saint Fair

At the saint fair, you will be presenting information about your saint. All Confirmation students are required to participate in all 3 Saint Fairs.  Your saint presentation should have a visual representation of your saint to help the younger students learn about your saint and why you chose him/her. The visual representation should be a poster board display. You may also dress up as your saint or bring a symbol of your saint. The information your audience should know about your saint includes the following:

Facts about your saint: (Brief history of your saint)

v What is your saint’s name?

v Why is this person a saint?

v When did this person live?

v Where is your saint from?

v And anything else you found interesting about your saint.

Your relationship with your saint:

v What special qualities do your admire about your saint.

v In what way are you going to be like your saint?

v A saint is someone who lives in Heaven.  Name a Catholic person you have known during your life that you think should be a saint.  Explain why and how they show the fruits of the Holy Spirit.  This is someone other than your saint – it is someone you know personally (you can write this part separately and hand it in on the day of the Saint Fair)

The most important thing part of this project is for you to learn more about your patron saint and develop a relationship with him/her.  This saint will be with you in a special way for the rest of your life.  You have chosen this holy person who lives with God in Heaven as a special guide.  Knowing this person better will help you develop a closer relationship with him or her.

Fruits of the Holy Spirit:

Charity                                    Joy                                Peace
Patience                                 Kindness                      Goodness Faithfulness

Self-Control                           Gentleness

Generosity                             Modesty                        Chastity
