Fasting is to be observed by all Catholics who are 18 years of age but not yet 60 year old. Those who are bound may take only one full meal and two smaller meals. No solid food between meals is permitted.  Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of fasting.

 

Abstinence from meats is to be observed by all Catholics 14 years and older on Ash Wednesday and all Fridays during Lent.

In lieu of Operation Rice Bowl, this year please put your change into the poor boxes. All donations to the poor boxes through Lent, as well as the Good Friday collection, will be sent to the Franciscan Monastery for their work in the Holy Land and the upkeep of the shrines there.
