Adult Choir: Voices and musicians of all kinds are needed. We minister at the 11:30 A.M. Sunday Mass from September through May. Practice is on Wednesday from 7:30 - 9:00 P.M. We also minister at Sacrament Celebrations (First Penance, First Communion, Confirmation, select Holy Days, Christmas, Holy Week, and Easter). Time commitment is weekly. All are welcome. Children's Choir: (Grades 1-5) Minister at the 9:30 A.M. on the 2nd and 4th Sundays from September through May. Practice is from 8:30 to 9:15 on the 2nd and 4th Sundays. Time commitment is bi-weekly. All are welcome. Teen Choir: (Grades 6-12) Voices and instrumentalists needed. This group ministers at 5:30 P.M. Vigil Mass third Saturdays of the month and at the 6:30pm mass on the first Sunday of the month (September through May). The teen choir combines with the adult choir for special feast days. Rehearsals are Mondays from 6:30pm – 7:30pm, September –May. All are welcome. Cantors: Cantors are visible leaders in our liturgies who possess the tools to lead prayer and worship through our liturgies. They are responsible for proclaiming the Responsorial Psalm and leading the assembly in song as well as teaching the assembly new music. Cantors meet as a group for rehearsals the last Monday of each month, and with the music director separately as needed. Cantors are scheduled approximately once every 3-4 weeks. Auditions are required.
Instrumentalists: If you have an advanced skill in a musical instrument and would like to occasionally minister at our liturgies, please contact the music director. We want to hear from you!
High School Brass Ensemble and High School Wind Ensemble: for high school students who have are at an advanced level. Please contact Howard Ettinger at 301-390-0520 or Nancy Weeks at 301-390-7067 for the Brass Ensemble, and Nancy Weeks at 301-390-7067 for the Wind Ensemble. These groups will minister at special occasions.
