Cantors are visible leaders in our liturgies who possess the tools to lead our congregation in prayer and worship. They are responsible for inviting the assembly to worship, proclaiming the Responsorial Psalm and Gospel Acclamation, and leading the assembly in song as well as teaching them new music such as Mass parts or hymns. Cantors are expected to attend cantor practice once a month on Wednesday from 6:30-7:30pm. If you are interested in cantoring, please contact Megan Weeks at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Accomplished organists/pianists who can accompany cantors and choir are always needed. Accompanists have good sight reading skills and knowledge of varying styles of music including traditional, contemporary, and gospel. If you are interested in becoming an accompanist, please contact Megan Weeks at email@example.com.
Solo instruments and chamber ensembles can deepen the musical experience. If you play an instrument and are interested in contributing to the music ministry, please contact Megan Weeks at firstname.lastname@example.org.
